ISLAMABAD: DTaking notice of public complaints and reports published in various newspapers, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has intensified nationwide enforcement actions against those involved in selling Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) above the notified price and engaging in profiteering.

In coordination with the district administration, OGRA is conducting enforcement operations in various cities across the country. As part of these efforts, six LPG plants in Rawalpindi have so far been sealed for violating the notified LPG price.

OGRA remains fully committed to protecting consumers rights and ensuring the availability of LPG at the notified price. To achieve this objective, monitoring and enforcement activities will continue uninterrupted across the country.

OGRA will also initiate strict legal action, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, against individuals and entities found involved in overcharging, profiteering, or violating any regulatory requirements.

OGRA has directed LPG marketing companies, LPG plants, distributors, and dealers to strictly comply with the notified prices and all applicable rules and regulations. Failure to do so will result in strict legal action.
