British High Commissioner meets Ishaq Dar

Islamabad – British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the state of Pakistan-UK relations and exchanged views on regional developments, including the recent U.S.-Iran situation. Senator Dar highlighted Pakistan’s constructive mediation efforts, emphasizing Islamabad’s commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and de-escalation in the region.

The British High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability. She noted that Pakistan’s proactive engagement in fostering understanding among stakeholders contributes significantly to reducing tensions and advancing cooperative solutions.

Officials underscored that the meeting reflects the continued strengthening of bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, with both sides reaffirming their resolve to work together on issues of mutual interest.
