ISLAMABAD, JUL 24 /DNA/ – A strategic collaboration between NIC Islamabad and BAT B Accelerator Tower in Bilbao creates new opportunities for Pakistani founders, innovators, investors, and entrepreneurial ecosystems to connect internationally.
For Pakistani startups looking to build for global markets, the next opportunity may increasingly lie beyond the country’s borders.
A new strategic collaboration between NIC Islamabad and BAT B Accelerator Tower, one of Spain’s prominent innovation and entrepreneurship hubs, is opening a stronger connection between Pakistan’s startup ecosystem and Europe’s wider innovation network.
The collaboration agreement was signed in Bilbao, Spain, during B Acceleration Week, an international gathering that brought together innovators, startups, and entrepreneurial ecosystems from more than 30 countries.
The agreement was signed by Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Project Director of NIC Islamabad, and Eriz Sainz Gurtubay, Director of BAT B Accelerator Tower, in the presence of H.E. Zahoor Ahmed, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Spain; Ainara Basurko, Deputy for Economic Promotion of the Provincial Council of Biscay; and Rafael Garibi Giménez, Honorary Consul for Pakistan in Bilbao.
The presence of diplomatic, government, and ecosystem leadership at the signing reflects the growing importance of international partnerships in creating meaningful opportunities for startups to grow beyond their home markets.
For Pakistani founders, the value of global connections goes far beyond visibility. Access to international innovation hubs can create opportunities for market exploration, knowledge exchange, cross-border collaboration, investor connections, and engagement with new entrepreneurial networks.
The collaboration aims to strengthen connections between Pakistan and the Biscay region, creating opportunities for startups, innovators, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders in both regions to engage and collaborate.
As Pakistan’s startup ecosystem continues to evolve, global connectivity is becoming an increasingly important part of the journey. A founder may build in Islamabad, develop technology for a global market, work with partners across continents, and access opportunities that were once difficult to reach from Pakistan.
For founders building ambitious companies in Pakistan, the message is simple:
You can build from Pakistan and still build for the world.
