ISLAMABAD, Aug 2: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police reviewed security arrangements at the Golra Sharif Shrine ahead of the Chehlum observance, with senior officers directing field personnel to ensure foolproof security and maintain close coordination with the shrine administration.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP on Sunday that SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, accompanied by SP Saddar Zone Khalid Mehmood Awan, visited the shrine to inspect the security arrangements.
During the visit, the officers met the shrine’s organisers and discussed measures to maintain law and order, ensure foolproof security and strengthen mutual coordination for the peaceful observance of Chehlum.
SSP Qazi directed the officers concerned to utilise all available resources to safeguard the lives and property of participants and ensure effective implementation of the security plan.
He said ICT Police remained fully committed to maintaining a peaceful environment and taking all necessary measures to ensure the security of religious gatherings across the federal capital.
