ISLAMABAD: /DNA/ – President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and President of the Federation of Realtors Pakistan (FoRP), Sardar Tahir Mehmood, has underscored the importance of unity, professionalism and strong institutional representation for the sustainable growth of Pakistan’s real estate sector, saying that realtors are playing a vital role in promoting investment, facilitating home ownership and driving economic activity.
He was addressing the Realtors Day ceremony jointly organized by the Federation of Realtors Pakistan (FoRP) and the Islamabad Estate Agents Association (IEAA) at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was attended by a large number of real estate professionals from Islamabad. General Secretary IEAA Chaudhry Zahid Rafiq was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that progressive nations celebrate the achievements of their professional communities, adding that Realtors Day is a tribute to thousands of professionals who guide investors and families in making one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. He said realtors are not merely property dealers but trusted advisors who promote transparency, protect investments and contribute significantly to national development.
The ICCI President said the Association had secured several important achievements relating to CDA procedures, taxation, administrative matters and regulatory issues, benefiting not only real estate professionals but also buyers, sellers and investors. He stressed that a transparent, organized and investment-friendly real estate sector was indispensable for attracting domestic and foreign investment, generating employment and accelerating Pakistan’s economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Zahid Rafiq said the remarkable progress achieved by the Association over the past few years was the result of collective leadership, institutional continuity and the unwavering support of its members. He urged the real estate fraternity to remain united, strengthen their representative institutions and continue serving the profession with integrity, professionalism and mutual respect.
ICCI Council Member Chaudhry Masood congratulated the real estate community on the occasion of Realtors Day and paid rich tribute to the leadership of Sardar Tahir Mehmood for elevating the status of the profession at national forums.
ICCI Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub and Vice President Muhammad Irfan Chaudhry also addressed the gathering and appreciated the visionary leadership of Sardar Tahir Mehmood in strengthening the real estate sector and enhancing its representation at key policymaking forums.
President ICCI Standing Committee on CDA Affairs Israr-ul-Haq Mashwani conducted the proceedings and highlighted the major achievements of the Association under the leadership of Sardar Tahir Mehmood.
