Chevening scholarships offer UK Master’s Degrees to Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD, AUG 4 /DNA/ – The British High Commission has announced the opening of applications for three prestigious, fully funded UK programmes designed to empower Pakistan’s emerging leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs. The opportunities include the renowned Chevening Scholarships, the Chevening Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Fellowship, and the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship.

These flagship programmes offer Pakistani professionals and academics the chance to access world-class education, develop innovative solutions, and build lasting international networks.

Programme Highlights:

• Chevening Scholarships: Fully funded one-year master’s degrees at any UK university for individuals with strong leadership potential, a clear vision for impact, and the ability to influence change.
• Chevening Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Fellowship: Supports mid-career academics and professionals to undertake independent research at the University of Oxford.
• Commonwealth Startup Fellowship: Designed for high-potential entrepreneurs to strengthen their business acumen, learn from UK experts, and prepare their ventures for scaling.

All three programmes cover the full cost of study, including tuition fees, flights, visas, and a living stipend. British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, emphasized the UK’s commitment to nurturing Pakistani talent:

Applicants are urged to rely on their own experiences, ideas, and ambitions. The British High Commission has explicitly warned that AI-generated answers are strictly prohibited. Candidates found to have used AI-generated responses risk immediate disqualification.

The UK-Pakistan partnership is strengthened by more than 2,000 Chevening alumni in Pakistan who are making significant contributions across public service, business, academia, media, and civil society. Globally, the Chevening alumni network includes over 20 current or former heads of state or government.
