BERLIN, AUG 19: German Chancellor Friedrich Merz strongly condemns the inhumane remarks made by Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a German government spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Media outlets had previously reported on a podcast interview in which Ben-Gvir spoke of the need to kill 30 to 40 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip each night.
There must be no further Israeli annexations in the West Bank, the spokesperson added.
