Ishaq Dar lauds services of UN Pak chief

ISLAMABAD, 19 AUG (DNA) —  The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, Mohamed Yahya, paid a farewell call on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the UN Resident Coordinator’s contributions to strengthening Pakistan-UN cooperation and acknowledged the work of the UN Country Team under his leadership.

He also congratulated Mohamed Yahya on his appointment as Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

In his remarks, the UN Resident Coordinator thanked the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support during his tenure in Pakistan and expressed his desire to continue working closely with Pakistan in his new role. â€” DNA
