Islamabad, Sept 12: The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, convened the 42nd meeting of the Travel Grant and Seminar/Conference Apex Committee to review applications for financial support aimed at facilitating academic participation, research dissemination, and scholarly engagement at national and international forums.
The Committee thoroughly examined the applications in accordance with HEC’s prescribed policies and guidelines, giving due consideration to applicants’ eligibility, academic credentials, research relevance, quality of the proposed academic events, and overall compliance with the approved criteria.
The Travel Grant and Seminar/Conference Support programmes reflect HEC’s continued commitment to providing faculty members, researchers, and scholars with opportunities to present their research, exchange knowledge, develop academic networks, and foster collaborations with the wider national and international research community.
Participation in scholarly forums enables researchers to engage with emerging developments in their respective fields, interact with leading academics, receive valuable scholarly feedback, and strengthen institutional and international linkages. Through these support programmes, HEC seeks to promote meaningful academic engagement and greater visibility of Pakistan’s research community.
The Apex Committee reiterated that support under these programmes is provided through a transparent and merit-based process, with emphasis on academic quality, relevance, eligibility, and adherence to the approved policy framework.
