ISLAMABAD, SEP 18 /DNA/ – The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan’s celebrated program participants and trainers at Lincoln Corner Islamabad to mark the completion of the “STEAM Builder” program, a flagship initiative that trained more than 100 participants in 3D printing, coding, and digital modeling. The ceremony featured participants from six Lincoln Corners across Pakistan, underscoring the reach and impact of this nationwide skills-building effort rooted in American excellence in technology and innovation.
Delivered in close collaboration with the Pakistani technology firm AzCorps, the STEAM Builder program gave participants hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and equipped a new generation of Pakistani innovators to compete in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
In his remarks at the closing ceremony, Acting Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy David Moyer said, “STEAM Builder is more than a training program. It is a statement about Lincoln Corners serving as hubs of technology, creativity, and opportunity where Pakistan’s rising STEAM talent gain tools and skills drawing upon American technology and educational models that fuel innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.”
As part of the mission’s Freedom 250 initiative, the event featured the unveiling of two new items the participants built: A 3D-printed Liberty Bell and a 3D-printed map of the United States, both of which will find a permanent home at Lincoln Corner Islamabad located at United States Educational Foundation (USEFP).
Looking ahead, the Lincoln Corners network, consisting of 15 locations across the country, will build on this momentum with an expanded slate of STEAM-focused programming in 2027, which will mark the 80th anniversary of U.S.-Pakistan bilateral relations.
