ISLAMABAD, 23 SEP (DNA) — Chinese and Pakistani business representatives called for stronger investment, industrial and technology cooperation at a reception held here, marking China’s National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival. The event was jointly hosted by the Chinese Embassy, the Association of Overseas Chinese in Pakistan and the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Pakistan.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong attended alongside Pakistani officials, diplomats and business representatives. According to a Gwadar Pro’s report, Jiang said China’s economic development had created new opportunities for international cooperation, including with Pakistan.
He cited growth in advanced manufacturing and foreign trade, while acknowledging external pressures and domestic supply-demand challenges. He said China would continue working with Pakistan to deepen their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
Participants also called for closer cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises through technology transfer, industrial partnerships and stronger links with local industries. The reception was held as the two countries mark 75 years of diplomatic relations. — DNA
