RCCI’s Newly Elected Executive Body for 2026–28 Takes Oath
RAWALPINDI: Nosherwan Khalil Khan was sworn in as President RCCI, while Waseem Aslam assumed charge as Senior Vice President and Ikram ur Rehman Abbasi as Vice President. The oath was administered by Mr. Sohail Altaf, Group Leader RCCI and former President, who congratulated the newly elected office bearers and Executive Members on their election. The Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected Office Bearers and Executive Body of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for the term 2026–2028 was held at a local hall in Rawalpindi.
Addressing the ceremony, Sohail Altaf appreciated the commendable efforts and services of the outgoing team and welcomed the newly elected leadership. He highlighted the important role of RCCI in representing the interests of the business community and expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue to strengthen the Chamber’s role as an effective platform for promoting business and economic development.
Speaking on the occasion, Newly elected President RCCI Nosherwan Khalil Khan reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the key challenges confronting the business community and ensuring that their concerns remain a priority for the Chamber.
He identified several important areas requiring focused attention, including the high cost of production, export competitiveness, industrial policy, development of economic and industrial zones along the Rawalpindi Ring Road, taxation issues, and concerns regarding compliance-related practices and alleged harassment by tax authorities and government departments.
Nosherwan Khalil Khan emphasized the need for constructive engagement between the business community and government institutions to develop practical solutions to these challenges. He said RCCI would continue to advocate for policies that facilitate investment, promote industrial growth, enhance exports and create a more conducive environment for businesses. The newly elected leadership expressed its resolve to work collectively with RCCI members, trade bodies and relevant government institutions to advance the interests of the business community and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
The ceremony was attended by former RCCI presidents, representatives of various trade associations, Executive Members and a large number of Chamber members.
