NCCIA Islamabad forms special teams to tackle cybercrime, protect women & children

            ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (DNA): Additional Director National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad Zone Muhammad Shoaib Khan chaired a meeting with officers of Islamabad Circle and formed special teams to deal with online crimes involving women and children, cyber tipline reports and anti-state activities.

An NCCIA official told  on Sunday that the meeting focused on growing cybercrime challenges and the need for faster and more effective action against those involved in illegal online activities.

He said the newly formed teams would work on priority cases involving cyber tipline reports received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), online harassment of women and anti-state activities.

During the meeting, Shoaib directed the officers to give special attention to these cases and ensure effective investigations through better coordination and professional skills.

He said the teams would work under a coordinated plan to speed up investigations and improve action against cybercriminals.

The Additional Director  Shoaib stressed that protecting women and children from online exploitation and harassment was an important responsibility of NCCIA.

He directed the officers to use their professional experience and technical skills to deal with cybercrime cases and ensure timely action in accordance with the law.

Shoaib  said the formation of special teams would help NCCIA Islamabad Circle improve its performance and provide better protection to citizens against digital crimes.
