ISLAMABAD: Indonesian Ambassador Adam M. Tugio has taken charge of the ASEAN Islamabad Committee Chairmanship from the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam Dato Mahmud Saidin in a special ceremony held at the Indonesian Embassy on Monday.
The meeting was attended by High Commissioner of Malaysia, Ambassadors of the Philippines and Myanmar and Charge d’Affaires of Thailand and Vietnam.
The ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) is comprised of the Ambassadors and High Commissioners of ASEAN members countries in Islamabad . The ACI provides the members with a platform to exchange views and explore ways and means on further strengthening of cordial relations between ASEAN and Pakistan.
