Regional seminar on the judicial solution of election disputes held in Ganja

BAKU, – A regional seminar on the judicial solution of election disputes has been held in Ganja by the Central Election Commission.

The meeting was attended by members of the Central Election Commission Fuad Javadov, Gabil Orujov, Supreme Court Judge Ilgar Huseynov, Chairman of the Ganja Court of Appeal Tapdig Mahmudov, Judge Teyyub Mukhtarov and chairmen of regional election commissions.

The seminar, which was held with the participation of relevant judicial authorities and chairmen of constituencies is aimed at raising awareness of the constituency election commissions on the resolution of complaints on violation of electoral rights, strengthening the effectiveness of the work in this direction and ensuring electoral rights of citizens.

Following the opening remarks, the presentations have been held by the representatives of the Central Election Commission, Supreme Court and Ganja Court of Appeals on the themes of “Procedures for filing complaints and appeals regarding violations of citizens’ electoral rights and their investigation”, “The practice of courts’ implementation of electoral legislation to protect electoral rights” and “Proceedings on the protection of electoral rights in the court”.

At the end of the event, there were discussions on a number of topical issues related to the resolution of complaints related to the violation of electoral rights, and the participants’ questions were answered.
