Punjab top leadership calls on NA Speaker

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar called on Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in Islamabad today and discussed overall political and economic situation.

The Speaker in his remarks commended the unopposed election of Senators from Punjab. He said the federal government believes in transparency in the Senate elections.

He said all the political parties and the Election Commission of Pakistan will also have to play its role in this regard.

The Governor Punjab said the unopposed election of Senators from Punjab is a manifestation of political sagacity and maturity.

He expressed the confidence that the opposition whilst rising above differences will cooperate with the government in matters of national interests.

In his remarks, the Punjab Chief Minister said they want to take all the political parties along in the province.

Usman Buzdar said Punjab is on the path of development.  He said work on development schemes is underway in the province as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan for the welfare of the people and provide job opportunities. He said special zones are being established in the province for the development of industries. He said this will usher in a new era of progress and development in the province.
