WASHINGTON: The Congressional Research Services, a think tank of the US Congress, has expressed grave concern over the repercussions of Indian government’s mishandling of farmers’ protest.
According to the report, Indian government’s position on the farmers’ protest as well as its human rights record poses a challenge for the Biden administration in its policies towards India.
The report condemns excessive use of force by Indian authorities against unarmed farmers which reflects authoritarianism in Modi-led Fascist regime.
Meanwhile, the Indian farmers’ leaders described the draconian and tyrical measures of Narendra Modi as a threat to the peace in region.
