ISLAMABAD,:Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) has signed an MoU with a private organisation to establish an Industry-Academia Linkage in the field of Tourism and Hospitality.
Rector FUI led a team of the University officials to visit Ayub National Park to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pelican Tours, said a press release on Thursday.
Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Pro-Rector FUI, Col. (R) Waheed Hamed – CEO Pelican Tours and Lt. Col. (R). Zia-Ul-Haq – Director Sports and Security, Army Heritage Foundation (AHF), signed the MOU to foster and promote students internship, commercialization of students projects, guest lectures and many more avenues of mutual benefits.
DG- Army Heritage Foundation (AHF), the custodian of Ayub National Park requested the Honorable Rector FUI to grace a brief tour unto the vicinity of Ayub National Park, and showed the FUI officials a couple of amenities at the park including Army Museum, Vintage Park, Food Street, Miracle Garden and Sports Complex.
The visit ended with the Rector FUI appreciating the hosts (Pelican Tours & AHF) for hosting the signing ceremony and resolved to keep this partnership productive through active contribution of FUI.
