LAHORE, Feb 04 (DNA): Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chairman
Maulana Fazalur Rehman on Saturday called on Prime Minister Muhammad
Shehbaz Sharif.
The Maulana visited Prime Minister Shehbaz’s residence in Model Town,
Lahore and held discussion on political situation prevalent in the
country and exchanged views on other matters of mutual interests.
They also discussed the forthcoming by-elections on the National
Assembly seats. The matter of provincial elections in the Punjab and
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also brought under discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Fazalur said that the PDM should not
take part in the by-elections for the National Assembly next month.
“The ECP should extend the date for the by-elections keeping in view the
law and order and economic situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,”
he maintained.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urges that all parties should adopt a
unified strategy on all national matters, including the election and
economy, in the All Parties Conference.
