ANKARA, FEB 11 /DNA/ – Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid visited Governor Ankara Vasip Sahin at Ankara Governorate today.
The purpose of the visit was to convey heartfelt condolences and handover relief items collected by the Pakistani Embassy staff.
While expressing Pakistan’s solidarity with the brotherly people of Turkiye, Ambassador stated that the entire Pakistani nation is in distress over this catastrophe. Hearts of Pakistanis beat with hearts of Turkish people, he added.
Ambassador conveyed good wishes of the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the earthquake affectees and stated that the Prime Minister had establish a special fund to ensure timely assistance to Turkish brethren undergoing the most challenging time of their lives. He underscored that the Government of Pakistan as well as Pakistani people stand with Türkiye in this testing time.
Ambassador informed the Governor that Pakistan Urban Search and Rescue teams are in Adiyaman, carrying out rescue operation alongside Turkish teams. He assured all out support to Turkiye till normal life returns in the affected areas.
Ambassador Dr Yousaf Junaid also paid rich tribute to the Turkish government and the Great Turkish nation, who are dealing with this tragedy with courage and tenacity. He said that, like all previous challenging times, this time also Turkiye will emerge from this natural disaster stronger.
Governor Vasip Sahin thanked people and Government of Pakistan for their generous and timely support and said that Pakistan and Turkiye have always stood by each other through thick and thin. Turkiye is stronger with Pakistan , he added.=DNA
