ISLAMABAD, 02 JUN (DNA) — The imports of agriculture machinery and Implements into the country during last 10 months of current financial year grew by 23.18 percent as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-April 2025-26, agriculture machinery and implements valued at $114.569 million were imported into the country as compared to the imports of $93.009 million of the same period of the last year.
The imports of machinery group into the country during the period under review increased by 8.16 percent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year, according the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
In last 10 months of the current financial year, the import of the machinery group into the country reached to $8.951 billion as compared to the imports of $8.275 billion of the same period of the last year. On yea on year basis, the imports of agriculture machinery and implements into the country during the month of April, 2026 increased by 79.95 percent as compared to the imports of the same month of the last year..
During the month of April, 2026, agriculture machinery valued at $12.276 million were imported as compared to the imports of $6.822 million of the same month of the last year. However, the import of the machinery group during the month of April, 2026 decreased by 5.12 percent as it was recorded at $1.083 billion as compared to the imports of $1.142 billion of the same month of the last year.— DNA
