ISLAMABAD, SEPT 25 (DNA) – In recognition of his dedicated and unwavering services for the business community, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been elected as Chairman All Markets Unions of Islamabad.
The meeting convened for the purpose by Raja Hassan Akhtar, President Blue Area elected Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari as Chairman.
In his address, Raja Javaid Iqbal, President G-9 markaz said that the way Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari selflessly served the community during the last two years as President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has created a history. He not only performed his duties as President ICCI wholeheartedly to overcome the challenges being confronted by the fraternity but big heartedly installed water filtration plants in different markets from his own exchequer to ensure the provision of clean drinking water to the community, customers as well as the residents.
He added that it will be exactly in the utmost interest of the fraternity and the residents that Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari should continue his initiatives for the growth and development of the businesses after relinquishing the charge as President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 30th of September, 2024.
Shahzad Shabbir Abbasi, President Super market, Assad Aziz, President Jinnah Super market, Sardar Tahir Mehmood, President F-8 markaz, Naeem Akhtar Awan, President G-11 markaz, Waheed Cheema, President I-8 markaz, Raja Zahid Dhanyal, President TWA, Barakohu, Azher Iqbal, President G-6 and Raja Fayyaz Gul, President I-8 endorsed the resolution by saying that they stand with Bakhtawari like a solid rock owing to his unparalleled services.
On this occasion, Chairman Founder Group ICCI Khalid Iqbal Malik while describing the decision as good omen for the community by saying that he has not seen the energetic, dynamic and generous person like Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari in his entire life who scarified his comforts for the cause of the community and worked day and night for the purpose.
On his part, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari expressed his gratitude to the community for bestowing this honour to him by pledging that he is determined to work with more zeal and zest for resolving the problems of the community and provision of level playing field for ease of doing businesses.
He expressed the hope that unitedly, the community will be able to overcome the challenges and put the country on the path of development and prosperity.
It is noteworthy that a committee comprising Raja Javaid Iqbal and Raja Hassan Akhtar has also been constituted to contact and get the assents of those Presidents who due to some engagements failed to attend the meeting.
