MULTAN, FEB 15 (DNA): Artificial intelligence skills are becoming essential for future employment as the digital economy rapidly expands, experts said during a training and awareness session held here under the Indus AI Summit 2026.
The session was organized by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication at MIT and drew a large number of students.
Speakers including Talha Hameed, Muzamil Hussain, Ahsan Bukhari , Azwar Rahman, Tayab Shabir, Fareeha saleem, Filza Wajid, Talal, and Nalain Abbas said artificial intelligence was reshaping key sectors including content creation, digital marketing web designing , and many others by improving productivity and lowering operational costs. They stressed that individuals with practical expertise in AI would enjoy a clear competitive advantage in the evolving job market.
Head of MIT Talha Hamid said the adoption of AI had become unavoidable in the modern world, as the technology was now embedded across nearly all professional fields. He said the government’s focus on promoting AI awareness and hands-on training for youth was a strategic step toward building a future-ready workforce. “Effective use of AI will not only expand learning opportunities but also create new employment pathways for young people,” he said. Hamid observed that Pakistani youth were already delivering digital services to global markets, while demand for AI-driven skills continued to rise internationally. The experts also showcased real-time applications of AI tools and shared examples of how these technologies were generating measurable financial returns.
Students termed the session informative and relevant, saying such initiatives were critical for understanding emerging technologies, freelancing trends and digital career opportunities. They urged continued engagement through similar program to help youth adapt to the demands of the global economy.
