Alkhidmat, JI delivered Rs9 billion aid to Gaza: Speakers

ATTOCK, APR 26 /DNA/ – In line with other parts of the country follow by the appeal of the Central Traders Association of Pakistan and the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, a strike was observed in all six tehsils of Attock, similar to other districts of Pakistan, in protest against Israeli atrocities in Gaza and to express solidarity with the Palestinians. Markets, shopping centers, vegetable and fruit markets, and other business hubs remained closed.

Traders expressed complete solidarity, and citizens largely avoided traveling from villages to the cities, resulting in minimal public transport operations. Strikes were held in Attock, Hazro, Hassan Abdal, Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Jand, Kamra, Khaur, and other areas to show solidarity with the Palestinians. At the district headquarters in Attock, a strike rally was organized at Fawara Chowk under the auspices of the Traders Association and Jamaat-e-Islami.

A large number of traders, Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and workers, civil society members, and officials from various religious organizations participated. Addressing the rally, District President of the Traders Association Kashif Ilyas, District President of the Sarafa Association Haji Iftikhar Ahmed Saraf, Private School System Leader Nadeem Anjum Abbasi, former Municipal Councilor Shahab Rafiq Malik, Deputy Secretary-General Ziauddin Niazi, Maulana Ilyas Angvi, and District General Secretary of Ulema Council Qari Anwar Shakir said that they stand in full solidarity with the Palestinians.

They emphasized the need to continue the boycott of Israeli products and demanded that the government officially announce jihad. The speakers remarked that so-called superpowers have always faced humiliation, and that the people had donated billions of rupees earned through hard work to relief organizations.

They noted that Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat Foundation alone delivered over 9 billion rupees of aid to Gaza. They also praised the response of Pakistani armed forces during Indo-Pak tensions, especially for giving a befitting reply to India’s aggression and violations of the Indus Waters Treaty.
