All crossings on Pakistan-Iran border fully operational: FO

ISLAMABAD, JUN 18: Contrary to some media reports, the Foreign Office clarified on Wednesday that all border crossing points along the Pakistan-Iran border remain fully functional.

In a statement issued in response to circulating claims about the closure of border crossings between the two countries, the Foreign Office spokesperson categorically rejected such reports as “false and misleading.”

“All crossing points on the Pakistan-Iran border are open and operational,” the spokesperson said, adding that there had been no formal or informal decision to suspend or limit cross-border movement.

The clarification comes amid speculative news on social media and some regional outlets suggesting that certain entry points, particularly in Balochistan, had been closed due to security concerns.

However, the Foreign Office stressed that there were no disruptions to the flow of goods or movement of people at any of the designated crossings.
