ISLAMABAD: (PR: Dated August 1, 2024): Ambassador of Iraq in Pakistan H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta called on Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa at CDA headquarters on Thursday. The H.E ambassador highlighted that Pakistan and Iraq have deep and historical brotherly relations. During the meeting, the ambassador expressed the desire for naming a street in the Diplomatic Enclave on Baghdad as they had already a street in the name of Pakistan at Baghdad.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa welcomed the proposal of the Iraqi Ambassador and told him that he would visit the Iraqi Embassy at the Diplomatic Enclave soon. The chairman also invited the Ambassador of Iraq to be a part of the Margalla Hills plantation drive. Ambassador of Iraq H.E Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta said that the Embassy of Iraq would play its active part in the Margalla Hills Plantation drive.
