APNS WELCOMES HER APPOINTMENT; HOPE SHE WILL BE ADDRESS PRINT MEDIA ISSUES ON PRIORITY

ISLAMABAD: A senior officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ms. Ambreen Jan has been appointed as the Federal Information Secretary.
She is presently posted as the Executive Director General External Publicity Wing, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Ms. Ambreen Jan has served on various important positions and is considered as an upright officer. She is also heading the grievance committee, which is reviewing complaints of journalists regarding allotment of plots.
Meanwhile the President, Secretary General and the office-bearers of the Executive Committee of the APNS have welcomed the appointment of Ms. Ambreen Jan as the new Information Secretary and hoped during her tenure relations between govt and the media industry shall further be strengthened.
The APNS also drew attention of the new secretary towards problems being faced by the print media industry especially issue of the payments and increase in the govt rates.
