Islamabad: A delegation from the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), headed by President Nazafreen Saigol, engaged in constructive discussions with the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar. The delegation, which comprised Secretary General Syed Sarmad Ali and Finance Secretary Shahab Zubairi, addressed pressing concerns related to payment issues.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Kakar conveyed his commitment to resolving the payment issues and ensuring a fair and timely resolution. He emphasized the importance of a thriving and sustainable media industry and acknowledged the crucial role played by newspapers in informing the public.

To expedite the resolution process, the prime minister issued directives to the Information Minister and Secretary, urging them to prioritize and address the concerns raised by the APNS delegation. This proactive approach reflects the government’s dedication to fostering a conducive environment for media organizations, thereby contributing to a robust and independent press in Pakistan.
