Jhelum, Mar 3: Assistant Commissioner Jhelum Aftab Ashraf conducted a surprise visit to the Tehsil Office and the Registration Branch to review administrative arrangements and service delivery mechanisms, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, Mirza Raza Ozgun, on Tuesday.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner examined staff attendance, maintenance of official records, and facilities being provided to members of the public. Inspecting various sections of the office, he directed officials to ensure that citizens’ matters are resolved without delay and that there is no compromise on the standards of public service.
While reviewing the Registration Branch, Aftab Ashraf scrutinized registers and files to verify the accuracy and proper maintenance of official records. He made it clear that unnecessary delays or obstacles in the registration process would not be tolerated. He also strictly instructed the registration clerk and relevant staff to keep all records organized and updated to ensure transparent service delivery for citizens.
The Assistant Commissioner also interacted with visitors at the Tehsil Office, seeking feedback regarding staff behavior and the efficiency of services. He stated that, under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mirza Raza Ozgun, optimal arrangements are being ensured in all government offices to facilitate the public and address their concerns promptly.
He further warned that strict departmental action would be taken against absent staff members to maintain discipline and efficiency in official affairs.
