Attock journalists show solidarity with Kashmir press freedom struggle

ATTOCK (FEB-05) The journalistic community of occupied Press Club of inter provincial bordering district Attock have also reaffirmed their commitment to join hands with the Kashmiri journalists struggline for their freedom besides showing their solidarity with their subjugated Kashmiri people of Jammu & Kashmir till their liberation from the Indian Government.

 In their meeting the office bearers of the occupied Press Club Attock chaired by their chief patron senior Journalist Syed Raza Naqvi have stressed upon Maryam Nawaz Sharif Chief Minister Punjab to get the building of Press Club Attock vacated from the clutches of district management Attock enabling them to continue their journalistic activities with freedom of expression being their fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

This was stated by the speakers who were addressing the journalist protest meeting on atrocities of Kashmiri journalists held here on Tuesday. Among others, the meeting was also participated by senior journalists, Safdar Qureshi, Hafiz Shahzad, Mun, Sheikh Faisal, Sh. Javed Javed, Qammar Abbas Jahfri, and other journalists. The journalistic community further said that the journalists from Attock always exposed all the brutal actions of India and will continue to expose Indian atrocities against Kashmiris to the world. If it is not done, this problem can engulf the entire region. This resolution was unanimously approved by the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan.

Even after 75 years have passed, the resolutions of the United Nations have not been implemented. The protesting journalists from Attock said that the situation in Occupied Kashmir is very serious where Kashmiris journalists are still being subjected to the worst state terrorism by the Indian occupying forces, Attock journalists added. In their joint statement, the journalistic community of Attock also demanded of the chief minister Punjab to get the possession of the occupied building of the Attock Press Club retrieved along with all missing valuables from the clutches of the district administration Attock.
