Attock Police, SSEFP sign MoU for free martyrs’ children education

ATTOCK, MAR 23 /DNA/ – The Attock Police have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sir Syed Education Foundation of Pakistan (SSEFP) for free education to children of police martyrs, 50 per cent fee concession to the Ghazis and 30 percent discount for serving and retired employees of the force.

On behalf of Attock Police, the accord was signed by district Police officer Dr Ghias Gul Khan and renowned educationist, Qazi Zahoor ul Haq, Project director of the foundation to ensure quality education facilities to the children of policemen, informed a police spokesman on Sunday.

As per MoU, admission fee and security fee are also not applicable for children of martyrs. Upto 50 percent concession would be given to the children of those cops who got injured in line of duty while 30 percent waive off would be enjoyed by the children of serving active-duty police officials besides retired employees on monthly tuition fee in over three dozen schools of the foundation located across the district Attock.  

Addressing at the MoU signing ceremony, district Police officer Dr Ghias Gul Khan thanked the management of these educational institutions for this agreement who are contributing a lot for quality education. He said that welfare of Attock policemen is at top priority while equal education and health facilities would be provided to each policeman whether from officer or lower cadre. He added that signing an agreement with private educational institutions is to ensure quality education to the children of the employees at affordable expenses. The DPO said the police was busy in providing relief to its employees in whatever possible way which, he believed will boost morale of the force. Mr Gul said that the Attock Police had earlier taken several initiatives for the welfare of the employees including signing agreements with the educational institutions and health service providers to facilitate the employees of the force and their families.

Member board of governors, Sardar Zulfiqar Hayat Khan speaking on this occasion has said hat MoU is a tangible token of appreciation, acknowledging and honoring the unwavering contributions and sacrifices made by the forces to safeguard the nation and its citizens.  

Speaking on this occasion, President Sir Syed education Foundation Pakistan Prof Tahir Durrani in paying tribute to the police department, emphasized the imperative to recognize their untiring contributions and sacrifices. “The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) stands as a vivid manifestation of the collaborative synergy between the foundation and Police department of Attock”, he added. Prof Durrani was of the view that the sacrifices of police martyrs would be remembered forever and this is a humble gesture to support their families. “It is our responsibility to ensure the welfare of families of those policemen who sacrificed their lives for our better future,” he added.
