Minister Aurangzeb Khichi Launches Tree Plantation Drive at Lok Virsa, Promotes Environmental Awareness
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, inaugurated the tree plantation campaign at Lok Virsa by planting a sapling on Thursday.
The Minister was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Member of the National Assembly Nuzhat Sadiq, and Secretary IPC, Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani.
On this occasion, the workers of Lok Virsa participated in the campaign and joined hands in planting trees at the Lok Virsa premises. A large number of female students were also present on the occasion and actively took part in the plantation drive.
Speaking at the ceremony, Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi highlighted the importance of collective efforts in combating climate change and preserving the environment for future generations. He emphasized that institutions of culture and heritage not only serve as custodians of traditions but also have a role in promoting environmental responsibility.
The Minister appreciated the participation of students and workers, noting that their involvement reflects a shared commitment to both cultural preservation and environmental sustainability.
