ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (APP/DNA): At least two children sustained burn injuries in a fire incident that broke out early Sunday morning in Karachi’s Baldia Town near the Power House area, local authorities confirmed.

According to initial Chippa sources, two children sustained critical burn injuries in a fire that broke in Baldia Town near the Power House area, adding that the blaze, which erupted under unclear circumstances, caused panic among residents who rushed to help before rescue teams arrived at the scene, local news channel reported.

According to Chhipa officials, the injured were identified as 14-year-old Hammad and 10-year-old Hafeez.

Both children suffered severe burn wounds and were immediately provided first aid on the spot before being shifted to the Burns Ward at Civil Hospital Karachi in critical condition.

Rescue workers said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, the condition of both children remains serious, and doctors are closely monitoring their treatment.
