ISLAMABAD, Apr 23 (DNA): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Secretary
General of the Milli Yakjehti Council Council Liaqat Baloch has strongly
condemned the Israeli army’s terrorism in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the incidents
of martyrdom and wounding of worshipers during the month of Ramadan and
the ongoing attacks on mosques and worshipers in Afghanistan.

Addressing an Iftar programme in honor of political and religious
activists in Narowal, he said that the mastermind of terrorism in
Al-Aqsa Mosque and mosques of Afghanistan is Zionism and Israel. The
United States is a sponsor of terrorists and terrorism around the world.

The restoration of the first qiblah and the end of the illegal Israeli
occupation of Palestine is a debt and a duty on the necks of
international institutions and the Islamic world. Peace could not be
established without ending the illegitimate state of Israel and giving
Palestine the right to freedom.

Instead of acknowledging their defeat in Afghanistan, US and NATO forces
are wallowing the victory of the Afghan people. A strong voice from
Pakistan to help the Palestinians and Afghans is needed to support the
Kashmiris’ struggle.

Liaqat Baloch, in response to questions from journalists, said that the
continuation of the failures of the Imran Khan regime is the new
coalition government. The end of economic catastrophes and crises and
the solution of the country’s problems could not be achieved by the
parties of different ideologies and different faiths.

The Imran Khan government has laid the thorns and mines of failure and
incompetence for the destruction of the country. Public confidence has
been shattered. In politics, slander, accusations and vulgarity have
become a disease. National priorities and electoral reforms are the most
important requirement of the time.

Elections based on proportional representation will strengthen the
importance of political parties, get rid of the Establishment and the
so-called, unfaithful tools – electables. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif
should focus all his attention on early elections.

Ad hoc, hasty development measures will be unsustainable. Public
confidence must be restored. The public has examined the glittering,
heartbreaking and misleading statements of every era since the 1970s.

To hide its failures, incompetences and the actions of the anti-people
government’s rhetoric dangerous for national security will not make a
space in public opinion. Jamaat-e-Islami will end the crisis by striving
for the rule of Islam, the solution of public problems and the
restoration of the sanctity of transparent and fair elections.
