QUETTA, Apr 13: The Balochistan has decided to introduce a modern digital monitoring system to ensure attendance, performance, and effective supervision of field officers.
The system will be based on live-location attendance, enabling real-time monitoring of officers’ presence at their designated postings and the progress of development projects.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where departmental secretaries briefed on ongoing projects. The meeting reviewed project pace, quality, challenges, and practical solutions.
The Chief Minister directed that all ongoing development projects must be completed before June without delay or negligence. He emphasized that district officers must remain in the field rather than staying in Quetta, ensuring implementation of projects with high standards. Sarfraz Bugti warned that officers absent from the field for more than 10 days would face strict action without exception.
He added that the digital monitoring system would make government performance more effective, transparent, and accountable, ensuring proper utilization of public resources.
Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that transparency, quality, and timely completion of development projects were top government priorities, and a strict monitoring framework was being enforced to achieve these goals.
The Chief Minister also appreciated Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan for his commitment to reforms and regular meetings of the secretaries’ committee.
He directed that the new monitoring system be further strengthened to accelerate and sustain development across the province.
