In Pakistan’s history, “Battle of Truth Bunyan-un-Marsoos” stands as one such remarkable chapter, reminding the nation that when the people and the Armed Forces of Pakistan stand united, every conspiracy, aggression, and hostile design of the enemy is destined to fail. Under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, the Armed Forces of Pakistan defended the homeland with courage, discipline, and dignity during the Battle of Truth – Bunyan-un-Marsoos, ultimately defeating the enemy and achieving victory. As one year of this historic battle is being completed, ceremonies, seminars, rallies, and prayer gatherings are being organized across the country to pay tribute to the Armed Forces, where the entire nation is saluting its defenders.
“Bunyan-un-Marsoos” is a Quranic term meaning “a solid wall of lead.” This was exactly the spirit demonstrated by the people and Armed Forces of Pakistan during this battle. The enemy believed that Pakistan could be weakened through internal instability, political differences, or economic challenges, but time proved that Pakistan’s true strength lies in the unshakable trust between its people and armed forces, a bond that grows stronger in every trial. The Armed Forces of Pakistan have always considered the defense of the motherland their foremost duty. Whether guarding borders, fighting terrorism, assisting people during natural disasters, or safeguarding Pakistan’s honor on the global stage, the Army, Air Force, and Navy have consistently set new examples of bravery, sacrifice, and professionalism. During the Battle of Truth Bunyan-un-Marsoos, the Armed Forces once again thwarted enemy designs and conveyed a clear message that no compromise can ever be made on Pakistan’s defense.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Air Staff, and the Chief of Naval Staff played a vital role through wise leadership, effective strategy, and mutual coordination, resulting in the enemy suffering a humiliating defeat in the Battle of Truth Bunyan-un-Marsoos. Through professionalism, courage, and patriotism, the Armed Forces crushed hostile ambitions and proved to the world that the people and military of Pakistan stand united like a fortified wall for the defense of the homeland.
During the battle, the role of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and especially DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif was also highly commendable. Through responsible communication, vision, and effective media management, they kept the nation informed about developments moment by moment. By providing timely and authentic information, they not only boosted public morale but also defeated enemy propaganda and malicious narratives. Their strategic media handling strengthened the national narrative and effectively presented Pakistan’s position before the world.
The greatest strength behind this battle was the people of Pakistan. From every city, village, and segment of society, citizens expressed solidarity with their Armed Forces. Youth used social media to project Pakistan’s stance globally, religious scholars promoted unity and harmony, the media strengthened the national narrative, and the public proved that they stand shoulder to shoulder with their defenders. This national spirit is what makes Pakistan unconquerable. As one year of the Battle of Truth is being commemorated, nationwide tribute events for the Armed Forces symbolize a renewed pledge that the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans will never be forgotten. Schools, colleges, government institutions, and social organizations are arranging special programs. Quran recitations, prayer ceremonies, and rallies for the martyrs reflect the deep love and respect the Pakistani nation holds for its defenders.
The sacrifices of the Armed Forces are not limited to battlefields alone. In the war against terrorism, thousands of soldiers and officers sacrificed their lives. It is because of these martyrs that Pakistan is moving toward peace today. The nation can never forget those brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives to secure the future of coming generations. Today, there is a need to further strengthen unity, discipline, and patriotism as a nation. National solidarity is essential to defeat enemy conspiracies. The Armed Forces of Pakistan are the guardians of our freedom, security, and sovereignty, and the entire nation stands firmly beside them. Whether in peace or war, the people and Armed Forces remain united.
The Battle of Truth is, in fact, a struggle for truth, bravery, sacrifice, and national honor. Through this battle, the Armed Forces of Pakistan emerged victorious and proved that the Pakistani nation stands united with its defenders. The people of Pakistan reaffirm their resolve that every sacrifice will be made for the defense, security, and stability of the country. Because when the nation and the Armed Forces stand together, Pakistan truly becomes “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” , an unconquerable wall that no power in the world can break.
The Battle of Truth reflects national unity, collective determination, and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty at all costs. Commemorating this battle at the national level sends a clear message to arrogant hostile forces that the Pakistani nation is united, strong, and fully prepared in every respect.
