Bhuvneshwar Kumar Becomes First Indian Pacer to Reach 350 T20 Wickets

NEW DELHI: Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the first Indian fast bowler to take 350 wickets in T20 cricket during RCB’s match against Gujarat Titans. He reached the milestone by dismissing Sai Sudharsan at the Narendra Modi Stadium, adding another major record to his career.

Historic milestone in T20 cricket
The veteran seamer continues to lead RCB’s pace attack this season and is now among the top wicket-takers in the format. Only Yuzvendra Chahal has more T20 wickets among Indian bowlers.

Bhuvneshwar’s consistency across leagues and international cricket has kept him among the best in the shortest format. Since his debut in 2012, he has taken 90 wickets in T20 internationals.

Strong record across formats and leagues
In the IPL, Bhuvneshwar has taken over 200 wickets across multiple teams, including Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He has also delivered strong performances in domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He is currently leading the Purple Cap race in IPL 2026, showing his continued impact in the league.

Closing in on another IPL record
Bhuvneshwar is now close to another milestone. He needs just one more wicket to become the first bowler to reach 200 IPL wickets on Indian soil.

His achievements place him alongside top Indian bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Piyush Chawla, and Ravichandran Ashwin, but this latest record highlights his status as the leading Indian fast bowler in T20 cricket.
