KARACHI, NOV 03 (DNA) — Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Friday hailed the announcement of the general elections date and termed it a significant milestone for Pakistan’s democratic process.

Talking to media persons, Bhutto pledged that the PPP would conduct a robust election campaign, ensuring their active participation in the electoral process. Bilawal also questioned the notion of a level playing field, asking, “Why should we expect a level playing field? Name one election in which PPP got a level playing field.”

The former foreign minister emphasized that despite facing obstacles, the PPP had consistently formed the government without the benefit of a level playing field. Bilawal advocated for fairness, stating that all political parties should ideally have a level playing field. He underscored the principle of equal opportunity for all contenders in the electoral arena.

To a question, Chairman PPP clarified that he had not yet decided regarding an electoral alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Furthermore, Bilawal Bhutto pointed out the importance of social media in today’s world, noting that for the first time in history, the world is closely observing the ongoing genocide of Muslims in the Gaza belt through platforms like social media. — DNA
