Bilawal wins govt ally Shahzain Bugti’s support

ISLAMABAD, MAR 27 (DNA) — Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday held talks with President Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Shahzain Bugti in Islamabad and succeeded in winning his support for the no-trust move against the prime minister.

The meeting which was held at the JWP leader’s residence focused on the prevailing political situation in the country. Bilawal Bhutto sought JWP’s help in the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly.

 Both the party leaders will hold a press conference after the meeting. Shahzain Bugti has a single vote in the National Assembly as an ally of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Bugti, grandson of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, is a federal minister and elected from NA-259 in 2018 general elections. In 2021, PM Imran Khan had appointed Shahzain Bugti as special assistant on Balochistan reconciliation. =DNA
