SARGODHA, FEB 9 /DNA/ – Three matches were played on the fifth day of the final round of the ongoing 2nd COAS Inter-Club Hockey Championship at the Manzoorul Hassan Hockey Stadium here on Sunday.
Civil Quarters Hockey Club Peshawar defeated Crescent Hockey Club Sargodha 1-0 in a hotly contested first match Aimal netted the lone goal of the match.
Sami Abid Hockey Club Hyderabad defeated Barni Hockey Club Quetta 4-2 in the second match. From the winning g team Khizer Akhtar, Mustafa Asghar, Yasir Ali and Mohammed Qais scored one goal a piece. Qazi Ansar and Wakeel scored one goal each from the losers.
In the third match BK Hockey Club Lahore beat Bijli Ghar Red Hockey Club Mardan 4-2. Bilal Aslam, Taimoor, Rizwan and Ahmad scored one goal each from the winners. A,harullah and Yasir Ali scored one goal apiece from the losers.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Tariq Hussain Bughti, Secretary General Olympian Rana Mujahid, Olympians Manzoorul Hassan, Akhtar Rasool, Shahbaz Ahmed Senior, Tauqir Dar, Tahir Zaman, Kamran Ashraf, Anjum Saeed, Danish Kaleem, Tariq Sheikh, Sheikh M. Usman, M. Kashif, Mohammed Asim, Babar Abdullah and Mian Zahid Iqbal were also present.
