British High Commissioner hosts interfaith leaders at Iftar

ISLAMABAD, FEB 26 /DNA/: Representatives from 11 religious communities across Pakistan came together to celebrate Pakistan’s rich religious diversity at a special Iftar at the British High Commission.

Leaders from Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and other faiths attended, promoting inclusion and highlighting Pakistan’s vast religious communities. Guests shared a meal and discussed the importance of respect, understanding and equal participation for all.

British High Commissioner, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, said:

“The white in Pakistan’s flag is not decorative: it represents a commitment to dignity and equal belonging. Events like this bring us together around empathy, connection, and a reminder that difference is not a barrier but a strength”

The Iftar forms part of the High Commission’s ongoing work to support dialogue between different communities and encourage equal rights and opportunities for all citizens.
