LONDON, AUG 28: /DNA/ – Arif Anis, a distinguished British-Pakistani author and leadership expert, has been appointed the Minister Counsellor for the Permanent Cooperation Mission of the House of Feigenblatt to the National Academy of History of the Republic of Ecuador.
At a significant event, Anis delivered a speech at the National Assembly of Ecuador, which was attended by eminent dignitaries including the president of the National Assembly of Ecuador along with former heads of state, university rectors, diplomats, and leaders in the field of education.
Arif Anis is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of 13 books, known for his expertise in leadership development. In June 2023, he was honoured by King Charles III with an appointment as the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his exceptional humanitarian initiatives. Anis also holds prestigious civil honours such as the Freeman of the City of London and a Knighthood from the Vatican. Anis was also presented the livery collar for his services on behalf of the House of Feigenblatt.
Speaking on the occasion, Arif emphasized the profound importance of fostering connections between the Latin world, South Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He highlighted that these regions, with their rich cultural, historical, and economic diversity, have much to offer each other and the world. Anis also addressed the economic benefits of regional integration, which can drive growth by overcoming divisions that impede the flow of goods, services, and capital.
He cited examples such as Latin America’s potential GDP boost through improved trade infrastructure and South Asia’s strategic role in global trade.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome speech by H.E. Mr. Henry Kronfle, President of the National Assembly of Ecuador. This was followed by presentations from Dr. Mathew J. Anderson, President of the Latin American Campus of Keiser University and a keynote lecture delivered by H.E. Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt. Additional presentations included insights from Professor Dr. Chris Brown, Director of the School of Education at the University of Southampton, and other notable figures such as H.E. Mr. Dr. Borja Cevallos and Dr. Rosalía Arteaga, both former Presidents of Ecuador.
The celebrated Pakistani author and leadership expert also received from Britain’s Prince of Wales, Prince William the medal of The Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for humanitarian services in June last year. He is among one of the first Pakistani origin authors to have received the coveted royal honours.
