SUKKUR, Oct 05 (APP/DNA): Valerie Ouellet, First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Canadian High Commission, visited the Sukkur Press Club on Sunday.
The club’s officials and members warmly welcomed Ouellet with a bouquet and a traditional Sindhi Ajrak.
During her visit, Ouellet inspected the press club’s offices, conference hall, and digital media facilities. She showed keen interest in journalistic activities and media freedom.
They briefed her on the club’s activities and the challenges facing journalists. Deputy President Syed Ahkar Shah Rizvi highlighted the role of digital media.
Sahrish Khokhar, President of the Women’s Journalists’ Association, shared insights into the initiatives and challenges faced by women journalists in the region. Lala Asad Pathan engaged in a discussion with Ouellet on the political and social landscape of Sindh.
