CDA, Arts Council Karachi to host 15th Aalmi Urdu Conference from March 10

            ISLAMABAD, :The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with Arts Council Karachi, would organize 15th Aalmi Urdu Conference, scheduled to be held from March 10 at Pak-China Friendship Centre.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in that regard during a ceremony here on Friday. CDA Member Finance Rana Shakeel Asghar signed the MoU amid presence of the Authority’s Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman CDA Aamer Ali Ahmed said that the three day conference would be part of Pakistan’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. He said the federal apex agency believed in the promotion of art, culture and literature in the city. 

The CDA Chairman said the Authority is engaged in construction and development of the city.

Initiated in 2008 by the Arts Council Karachi, Urdu conference has been a regular annual feature eagerly awaited by the literary enthusiasts and cultural figures of the city. Noted scholars from India, United Kingdom, London, Canada, Turkey, Iran and all over the world participated and present their research papers, thesis and creativity.
