CDA Board Approvals for Water Supply, Parliamentarian Suites, and Commercial Plot Auctions
ISLAMABAD, AUG 13 /DNA/ – The 11th meeting of the CDA Board was held on Tuesday, under the chair of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa. All board members of the CDA attended the meeting.
Various agenda items were discussed during the CDA Board meeting. The Board approved conduction of the pre-feasibility studies for different water supply projects in Islamabad through WAPDA. Similarly, it was decided to conduct a feasibility study throgh WAPDA to explore the options for conduction of water which is being wasted due to seepage in Khanpur Dam. The feasibility study will also include options for laying a pipeline for transporting water from Khanpur Dam to the Sangjani Treatment Plant. Besides, the CDA Board also approved carrying out feasibility study through WAPDA for the construction of Shahdara Dam and Chiniot Dam in Islamabad.
During the 11th meeting of the CDA Board, it was decided to hire a consultant under PPRA Rule 42 (F) for the construction of 104 family suites for parliamentarians, while also deciding to terminate the services of the previous consultant for the project.
The CDA Board also approved the terms and conditions for the auction of commercial plots and decided to implement an investor-friendly policy and process for the auction of these plots.
