ISLAMABAD, JUN 15 /DNA/ – In line with directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa distribution of biodegradable bags has been started among the citizens of Islamabad before Eid-ul-Adha. In this regard, CDA sanitation staff is distributing biodegradable bags from door to door.
According to the details, biodegradable bag distribution counters have been established in 5 major cattle markets of Islamabad. Biodegradable bags qre being distributed from these free of cost. The relevant staff have been deployed in the CDA distribution counters.
On the instructions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, biodegradable bags are also being distributed in the rural areas of Islamabad. It is pertinent to mention here that the distribution of bags in urban areas of the city being carried out through the concerned Sanitary Inspector, while in the rural areas, the distribution of the bags is being carried through the Union Council Secretary. The purpose of distribution of waste bags is to prevent dirt and pollution in the city.
By using biodegradable bags, it will be easy to destroy the waste and biodegradable bags after some time decompose naturally and turn into waste by themselves.=DNA
