CDA, PPAF team up for slum upgrades, job creation

ISLAMABAD, AUG 12 /DNA/ – Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Nadir Gul Barech, called on Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa at the CDA Headquarters. The meeting was also attended by CDA Board Members, including Member Administration and Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch and other senior officers.

During the meeting, discussions were held on launching joint initiatives for the development of underprivileged areas in Islamabad, promoting skill development, increasing employment opportunities and ensuring community participation. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, emphasized that sustainable urban development and social welfare are essential for the prosperity of the city. He further stated that the CDA is taking all possible measures to improve the lives of Islamabad’s residents and is ready to work collaboratively with all relevant institutions in this regard.

PPAF CEO Nadir Gul Barech appreciated the efforts of the CDA, under the leadership of Chairman CDA Randhawa, for the development and prosperity of Islamabad. He assured full cooperation with the CDA in this mission and expressed confidence that both organizations would work together to implement effective measures for poverty alleviation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both institutions agreed to enhance mutual coordination to launch practical projects aimed at reducing poverty in Islamabad. The objective will be to improve the lives of marginalized communities and empower them economically. It was mutually decided that the CDA and PPAF would work together to make Islamabad a better and more prosperous city.
