CDA teams extinguish Margalla fire

Islamabad: (PR: March 31, 2025): The teams of the CDA Environment Wing and MCI have completely extinguished the fire that broke out in the Margalla Hills. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa personally monitored the ongoing firefighting operation.

In line with the directives of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, relevant officers and officials of the Islamabad administration, the Environment Wing, and MCI remained present at the site. Over 64 firefighters participated in the firefighting efforts, with special fire brigade vehicles deployed during the operation. Due to CDA’s timely intervention, the fire was prevented from spreading on a larger scale.

Following Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s instructions, additional teams have been formed to enhance surveillance in the Margalla Hills and make the patrolling process more effective. Furthermore, as per the Chairman’s orders, the number of personnel assigned to firefighting duties in the Margalla Hills has been increased.
