Baku, OCT 28: /DNA/ – Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, arrived in Baku today to attend the International Parliamentary Conference dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Upon his arrival at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and his accompanying delegation were warmly received by Mr. Musa Gasimli, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan); Mr. Kamaladdin Gafarov, Head of the Azerbaijan–Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group; as well as the Ambassadors of both countries.
During his visit, the Chairman Senate will participate in the Conference to be held at the Milli Majlis, where parliamentary leaders from various nations will deliberate on the theme “Constitution as the foundation of the independence and sovereignty of states in the contemporary world.”
The visit underscores the deep rooted ties of friendship and parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, and reaffirms the commitment of both nations to strengthen collaboration through enhanced inter-parliamentary dialogue and shared democratic values.
