ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has directed the party leadership and workers to take part actively and effectively in the upcoming local government elections in Quetta. He said that party workers should participate in the election process and campaign with full strength.
According to the party spokesperson, on the special instructions of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the party spokesperson will arrive in Quetta tomorrow for a three-day organisational visit, during which consultations will be held on various political and organisational matters.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held detailed discussions with party leaders Dr. Rafiullah, Shakoor Marri, and Basheer Khan Achakzai regarding the local government elections. Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and Central Information Secretary Mustafa Malik were also present on the occasion.
Speaking about the development, peace, and stability of Balochistan, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the province’s vast mineral resources can take it to new heights of progress. He said that the world has its eyes on these valuable mineral reserves, and their importance will further increase with peace and stability in the region.
He emphasized that the development of Balochistan is a national priority and that there will be no compromise on the rights of the Baloch people or on development projects. Ignoring Balochistan, he said, is equivalent to weakening the country. Immediate attention to education, health, and infrastructure is essential.
He stressed that both the federal and provincial governments should work together to find sustainable solutions to Balochistan’s issues. Delivering the fruits of development to the people of Balochistan is the need of the hour, as a strong Balochistan is the guarantee of a strong Pakistan.
He added that Balochistan must be given greater representation in CPEC and that new employment opportunities should be created for the youth. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain reaffirmed his commitment that the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) will play its full role in promoting peace, development, and good governance in the province.
